The Netherlands is home to The Hague Apostille Convention, for a document to be accepted it must follow the country of origins process which for Canada is the authentication and legalization process.  Having a Canadian birth certificate, a Canadian marriage certificate, a Canadian divorce certificate, a statement in lieu of a certificate of non-impediment to marriage, a marriage records search, a single status declaration, a Canadian death certificate, or another Canadian document for use in the Netherlands or any of its Caribbean territories like an RCMP Canadian Police Check for Aruba, they will need to go through this two-way process of authentication and legalization.
